Some of our Projects
Taco Bell
This project is one of a number of solar, storage, and EV charger systems that were designed and installed on Taco Bell restaurants across California. A new electrical service was designed to interface with the utility on its own rate, with the design intent to have the EV chargers source the majority of their energy from the solar (during the day) and the batteries (at night).
Surgical Microgrid
This large roofmounted solar system was designed to maximize the offset and demand charge mitigation of a large steelworks facility. A unique aspect of this design was the racking system, which was engineered to ensure the existing structure could support the additional load. The system was also configured to support future expansion of an EV charging system for a fleet of vehicles in use around the facility.

Quail Ridge
This multi-family apartment complex was outfitted with a solar and energy storage system with a unique approach; rather than aggregating the entire system together into a virtually net-metered system (which is common on multi-family buildings), a portion of the system was connected behind-the-meter to each apartment, each with its own off-grid capabilities. The solution was proposed due to the unique nature of the tenant billing arrangement at this complex, which would not have benefited from the standard multi-family VNEM arrangement.
Meadowbrook
This set of plans represents one of fourteen systems installed on this apartment complex, which were designed to connect in front of the meter banks of each building. This system was designed as a common solution to outfitting multi-family apartments with solar, in a configuration that is able to benefit multiple meters at once.
LV3 EVCS
This site was outfitted with an existing solar PV system, and our design includes the addition of a pair of Level 3 DC fast-charging EV charger ports. The site is home to a car dealership which desired to have their offering of electric vehicles be charged from their solar system, and quickly.
College
This project falls under the jurisdiction of the Division of the State Architect (DSA) which governs the building permitting process for public schools in California. A unique set of challenges beset this project, ranging from ensuring that the location of the energy storage system would comply with all life safety requirements, to determining the best way to aggregate the output of the solar parking canopies spread throughout the property.
AMCOR
A large, energy-storage only system was designed to supplement the loads of a large manufacturing facility. Owing to the high demand charges incurred as a result of their present operations, the site owner elected to outfit the facility with a large array of energy storage container units. The system’s large power output was converted to medium voltage and interconnected directly into the utility’s substation which was located immediately adjacent to the parking lot in which the energy storage system was planned to be located. Careful coordination with the utility ensured the system would be interconnected safely and in the most efficient manner possible.
404 Taconic
This project is a microgrid located in the northeast that includes a combination of solar and lithium energy storage, and is unique in that it also is designed to comply with the local utility’s net-energy metering program. The system is also configured to provide off-grid power to the existing on-site loads, and is set up to expand the backup loads as the site expands in the future.
